E3 – Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

I love me some AC.
That song…
Ezio has definitely seen better days as he follows in Altaïr’s footsteps. According to Ubisoft, Revelations will complete the story of Desmond and his two ancestors. I’m looking forward to a climactic experience that will pave the way for the inevitable Assassin’s Creed III.
Ezio’s also sporting some new moves in the trailer, and I’d love to see some of that fluid, multi-target combat translate over to the gameplay. Speaking of gameplay, straight from the Ubisoft conference:
It looks like the graphics engine has gotten another update. The character models and textures seem a bit more detailed than in Brotherhood and Constantinople just feels more real and alive than Rome did. And the ship sequence? Magnificent. Sure, it’s a small, carefully crafted scene, but after so many boring gameplay demos, Revelations came out of the show looking great.
Long ago, I established a “Capcom Rule,” where I refused to buy a game that came out with a sequel every year, though I guess that should be the “EA Rule” now. The Assassin’s Creed franchise will be breaking that rule for the third year in a row this Fall.
